The International Society for Bipolar Disorders (ISBD) held its most successful meeting to date in Istanbul, Turkey on 14-17 March 2012. With over 900 in attendance, the meeting offered engaging keynote presentations, including a child bipolar debate with Dr. Boris Birmaher and Dr. Eric Taylor, updates from the US National Institute of Mental Health with Dr. Carlos Zarate, a discussion of bipolar spectrum with Dr. Hagop Akiskal, and an address from the WPA President, Pedro Ruiz.
We will hold our next meeting in Miami, Florida on 13-16 June 2013 at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel and will feature a Latin American Symposia, pre-conference workshops, and a full day of activities coordinated with the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA), one of the leading US-based advocacy groups. Symposium and poster abstract submission are now open and registration will open in early November.
