Russian Society of Psychiatrists (RSP) Educational Program “The 11th School for Early Career Psychiatrists”
The traditional RSP Educational Program “The 11th School for Early Career Psychiatrists” regularly takes place in Suzdal (Central Russia) since 1979. The 11th School, organized by the RSP, for the first time was held under the aegis of the WPA, and brought together an unprecedented number of young psy-chiatrists 400 from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, in the beautiful city of Suzdal during the last week of April 2013.
The meeting was opened by Prof. Petr Morozov, WPA Zonal Representative for Zone10, who welcomed the participants and faculty coming from Russia, Australia, Poland, Greece, Czech Republic, and Ukraine.
The School included lectures, seminars, round-table discussions, clinical cases, work-shops, poster sessions, and satellite symposia.Thirty best research papers-winners (of 110) were selected in the competition during the pre-school period of time and published in the proceedings. Participants had a large social and cultural program also. An evaluation form to assess the outcome of this meeting was used: a long form (around 60 questions), divided into two parts organizational and scientific: each position of the program was to be evaluated by participants on a five-item score system.
The next 12th School in Suzdal is plannedto be organized with a wide participation of young psychiatrists from WPA Zone 10 countries and will take place in the last week of April in 2015.

Third Meeting of the Presidents of the WPA Zone 10 psychiatric societies
The Third Meeting of the Presidents of the WPA Zone 10 psychiatric societies took place in Almaty, Kazakhstan on June 06, 2013. The Meeting was attended by the Presidents of most psychiatric societies of the East European WPA Region: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. The representatives of Belarus and Moldova had been invited but were unable to attend the Meeting. For the first time, a representative of Tajik Society of Psychiatrists participated in such a meeting as an observer.
After welcoming the participants, the WPA Zonal Representative Prof. Petr Morozov informed the Presidents about the development of the WPA Zone 10 Action Plan. Participants discussed the series of overview from the last EPA Congress, presented by 12 young psychi-atrists from the countries of the WPA Zone 10 in the framework of the East European Educational WPA-Servier Academy. Those 11 overviews were prepared specially for the “bank” of psychiatric journals of the Zone. The Presidents agreed on the rules of its publications. They discussed also the question of the translation of the WPA journal “World Psychiatry”into Russian, further organization of a series of Symposia “20 Years After Psychiatry in Post-Soviet Space” with the participation of the psychiatric leaders of the WPA Zone 10.
The next Meeting of the Presidents of the WPA Zone 10 psychiatric societies will take place in September 2014, during the WPA World Congress of Psychiatry in Madrid.
