The Meeting had 16 international guests as main speakers and numerous symposiums in simultaneous sessions.
The XXVIII APAL Congress counted with the support of WPA (World Psychiatric Association) and W.A.C.P. (World Association of Cultural Psychiatry).
The quantitative evaluation was good and excellent in its majority.
The City of Cartagena offered its infrastructure and unrivaled characteristics which the guests enjoyed in a charming city beyond a good meeting.
Latin American Meeting of Women Leaders in Latin American Psychiatry

Within the frame of the APAL Congress, on November 24 took place the encounter of the APAL Leader Women. Presidents and former Presidents of the Latin American Psychiatry Associations participated; the guests of honour were Dr. Fior Solis (from the Dominican Republic) being the only woman psychiatrist who has been president of APAL, Dr. Marta Rondon (from Peru), academic, professional leader and also the president of IAWMH (International Association for Women´s Mental Health) and Dr. Silvia Gaviria (from Colombia) the Secretary General of this Association.
The objective of this meeting was to socialize, highlight the achievements of Psychiatric Women in APAL’s life, and to set the new challenges for the future of the Association taking into consideration that women are the majority of members.
I Dual Pathology Congress: ADDICTION AND CO-MORBILITY
The Sagrado Corazon Psychiatric Institute with the support of Ecuadorian Psychiatric Association will carry out the I Dual Pathology Congress: ADDICTION AND CO-MORBILITY on April 27 to 30 in the City of Quito, Ecuador.
