The Danish Psychiatric Association and the Joint Committee of the Nordic Psychiatric Associations hosted the 31st Nordic Congress of Psychiatry in Tivoli Congress Center from 20-23 September 2015. The congress was a great success with 900 delegates representing 26 different countries. The majority of delegates were Danish, but all Nordic and Baltic countries had smaller or larger groups of psychiatrists attending. Both psychiatry and child/adolescent psychiatry were represented during the congress.
The scientific program ranged from high quality state-of-the-art lectures to an abundance of symposia and posters representing new Nordic research but also other European and American perspectives on clinical best practice. Furthermore, the scientific committee ran a speakers contest for young scientists, and the three best posters were awarded. Throughout all days, the congress venue was also a forum for lively discussions and social networking among the delegates.
Now the task has been given to the Icelandic Psychiatric Association to arrange the 32nd Nordic Congress of Psychiatry I Reykjavik, Iceland from 13-16 June 2018.
