A co-sponsored meeting is one where WPA lends its support and branding to a national member society, WPA component or some other reputable organisation (such as an educational institution) to assist in promotion of the event. It is a condition of co-sponsorship that the content of any such meeting is consistent with WPA's views and aligned with its ethics and values.  Accordingly, WPA must approve the content of any co-sponsored meeting.  There is no regulation for the timing and duration of these congresses, but they do not compete with other WPA activities.  Whilst WPA provides professional and scientific advice for these events where requested, it does not bear any financial or organisational responsibility.
