WPA Congresses provide unparalleled forums at which psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, patients, carers, and interested parties can meet and discuss some of most important issues of the day.  Drawing leading experts from around the globe, they provide a practical opportunity for participants to share in cutting-edge research and to discuss how local learnings and experiences might be translated and used in their own communities.

Each year, WPA administers the World Congress of Psychiatry together with thematic and regional congresses.  In addition, it co-sponsors a number of national and specialist meetings that align with its own congress program, to ensure its members and components are provided with a comprehensive range of learning opportunities the world over.
