Deadline for Geneva Prize submissions extended to 31 March 2021

The Council of Foundation has announced that the deadline for Geneva Prize submissions has been extended to 31 March 2021. The decision to defer the submission deadline comes as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting pressures on the healthcare community - including health insecurity and the many restrictions to travel both domestic and international.

For 20 years the Geneva Prize has been conferred triennially and recognises a person or organisation for remarkable achievements in promoting equity and humanity in psychiatric care, reducing discriminations against patients and encouraging the application of Human Rights and Ethics in Psychiatry. The Prize includes a certificate of commendation and a cheque in the amount of CHF 20'000 (just over USD 20,000).

Deadline for nominations is NOW 31 March 2021. Please submit them to: francois.ferrero@unige.ch President of the Council of Foundation

The Prize is made possible thanks to the support of the Geneva Government, the Swiss Federation of Psychiatrists and Psychotherapists and the Geneva Medical Association.
