The World Psychiatric Association (WPA) is gearing up for its highly anticipated 2023 Elections, scheduled to take place in Vienna during the General Assembly on 30th of September 2023 at the 23rd World Congress of Psychiatry (WCP23) in Vienna, Austria. The results from these elections will determine the successors for a number of positions on the WPA Executive Committee (EC) as well as for the 18 Zonal Representatives that will make up the WPA Board for the 2023-2026 triennium.
We have some important updates to share with you regarding the General Assembly.
The General Assembly will start at 10:00 am in HALL D Floor [-2 ] of the WCP Vienna Congress Venue , Austria Center Vienna (ACV) Bruno-Kreisky-Platz 1, 1220 Vienna.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
You are requested to visit the WPA Secretariat office between 10:00-17:00 on 28th and 29th September to collect your General Assembly Badge. The office (number 0.91) is located on Floor [0] of the WCP Vienna Congress Venue.
Please bring your Passport or National Identity Card with you when collecting your badge from the WPA Secretariat Office in Vienna.
Timings of Election: The General Assembly will begin at 10:00. The election voting booths will be open from 10:30 and close at 13:30.
You are also requested to bring your Passport or National Identity Card on the day of the National Assembly for verification prior to voting by a member of the WPA Accreditation Committee.
Seating is by Country. A section of the Hall is reserved for you and you are requested to take a seat on the chair which has the name of the Country of the Membership Society you are representing.
You will be given your individual voter login and password and Membership Society Voting Strength information on the morning of the General Assembly.
