The Nomination Process for 2023 WPA Elections is now open




The elections for EC members and Zonal Representatives will be held during the World Congress in Vienna at the General Assembly on 30 September 2023. Successful candidates will take office immediately after the General Assembly.


Please note that in no case may the immediate successor to the same position be elected from the same country.


The following positions are open for election:


WPA Executive Committee

President-Elect

Secretary-General

Secretary for Education and Science

Secretary for Scientific Sections


Zonal Representatives

The Zonal Representatives for Western Europe, Eastern Europe and Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, having served six years, are not eligible for re-election. The remaining Zonal Representatives are all eligible for re-election.


The President has written to all Member Societies seeking nominations. The Nomination Form, Job Descriptions and Election Guidelines and accompanying papers can be found on the WPA website.


Please note that candidates must be nominated by the President and Secretary of their Member Society. The deadline for nominations is 31 March 2023
