World Alzheimer's Day 2020

21 September is World Alzheimer's Day - an international campaign aimed at raising awareness and challenging the common stigma that surrounds Alzheimer related dementia. Alzheimer's is a progressive disease that impairs memory and other mental functions.

Today, WPA Secretary General Prof. Roy Kallivayalil, addressed the Indian Medical Association as their Chief Guest, discussing psychiatry's role in supporting those with dementia and some of the therapies that can best be applied.

See below a short video from Professor Kallivayalil with an abstract of his address on the themes of the day.
