Over the last couple of years the WPA Section of Philosophy & Humanities in Psychiatry has been focused on developing partnerships with other WPA Sections and international organizations to promote the relevance of philosophy and humanities in the practice of contemporary psychiatry.
These endeavors include a number of joint symposia at the World Congress of Psychiatry in Lisbon in August 2019, the Annual Conferences of International Network for Philosophy & Psychiatry in Hong Kong, China (2018) and also in Warsaw Poland (2019). Moreover, a book project on cultural values and mental health is due for completion by the end of 2020.
